Zia Nath

Zia is an international performer and teacher of Sacred Dance, a paramedical healthcare practitioner, Nutritionist and TEDx presenter. Zia uses the body as the first stop to health and wellness, engaging the diversity of her work – the modern science of therapeutics and the ancient wisdom of sacred dance to conduct programs for corporates & individuals.

Zia has been in the practice of Sacred Dance – learning, teaching, performing for over two decades and continues to explore her inner spiritual path through her passion of sacred dance and healthcare.

About Sacred Dance

Originating from ancient Sufi traditions, the Whirling Dervish meditation and Gurdjieff Movements (also known as Sacred Gymnastics), works our spiritual muscles and brings resiliency to our perceptions. The practice will include centering exercises and sacred movements from the works of George Gurdjieff – an Armenian mystic from the early 1900’s and the whirling meditation is a journey into mystical realms. Whirling Mandala™ founded by Zia Nath, are whirling dances inspired from the ancient gypsies, Rajasthani ‘ghumrao’ and sufi traditions.

Music and poetry, rhythm and stillness, silent sitting are important elements that condition and refine our experiences.
Practiced as an active meditation, this work is unique as it centres us in the balance of duality.
We find stillness in motion and maintain balance with our inner compass.
We move inward for transformation and awaken to our witness consciousness.

Bijay J. Anand

An accomplished actor, art consultant and a Kundalini Yoga teacher, Bijay J. Anand lives a full and fascinating life. After spending his entire life within ‘The Matrix” and indulging in all the exigencies and excesses related to it, in the year 2013 Bijay J. Anand discovered Kundalini Yoga.

A single session of this ancient practice gave him a deep sense of bliss and a feeling of having finally ‘returned home”. He immediately signed up for a 45-day intense Teachers Training session with the world’s best known Kundalini Yoga Guru, Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa.

The profound impact that the teachings of Kundalini Yoga had upon his mind, body and soul made him vow to spread these teachings for the remainder of his life.

  • 04.30 – 05.00 pm: Light refreshments
  • 05.00 – 07.00 pm: Sacred dance with Zia Nath (with sunset meditation)
  • 07.30 – 08.30 pm: Dinner
  • 09.00 – 09.45 pm: Night event- ‘the mysticism of whirling’

8th February

  • 06.30 – 08.00 am: ‘Shinrin Yoku’ (Japanese term for forest bathing) An early morning trek in the wilderness of the sahyadris.
  • 08.30 – 09.30 am: Breakfast
  • 11.00 – 12.30 pm: Kundalini Yoga
  • 01.00 – 02.00 pm: Lunch
  • 04.30 – 05.00 pm: Light refreshments
  • 05.00 – 07.00 pm: Sacred Dance and Kundalini Yoga
  • 07.30 – 08.30 pm: Dinner
  • 09.00 – 10.00 pm: Night event: ‘Fire in my heart’ – stand up comedy by Bijay Anand, a bonfire and other surprises.

9th February

  • 06.30 – 07.30 am: ‘Center- in’ Sunrise morning meditation
  • 07.30 – 08.30 am: Breakfast
  • 10.00 – 11.30 am: Kundalini Yoga and Sacred Dance
  • 11.30 – 12.00 noon: Leave for your respected homes with a smiling Anahata and fond memories

Participation fees

  • Rs. 24,000 per person on Twin-Sharing basis
  • Rs. 42,000 for an individual non-sharing room
