Anahata Retreats, founded by Bijay J. Anand, is an organisation that brings together revered, respected and acclaimed teachers of yoga, ayurveda, wellness and spirituality from around the world, with eager to learn students and seekers of knowledge. These meetings are organised in the form of retreats or workshops that are designed with a specific target audience in mind and focus on specific areas of interest.
The venues are carefully chosen as per the nature and structure of individual retreats. A retreat with an internationally acclaimed Kundalini Yoga teacher like Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa is hosted on a small island off Goa, which is an oasis of beauty, peace and serenity, whereas a Kundalini Yoga + adventure retreat takes us to the scenic mountains of Ladakh, where we can combine the peace and quiet of nature with the myriad of adventure activities that Ladakh is renowned for.
However an Anahata Retreat may be designed, its purpose remains the same, which is:
- To enrich the lives of its participants with spiritual, health and wellness-based activities, yoga and meditation
- To build a community of like-minded individuals who dream of living a spiritual, joyous and blissful life, and would like to make this world a better place to live in
- To ensure the comfort, safety and well-being of all participants, ensuring that their every need and desire is anticipated and catered to
- Providing a soothing, serene and rich ambience during the retreat that is conducive for detoxification of mind and body
Bijay J. Anand Profile, Philosophy & Teachings
A Kundalini Yoga teacher, certified by the Kundalini Research Institute, Los Angeles, Bijay has a holistic approach to health, as well as to the elusive word "Happiness". The principle philosophy behind Bijay's teachings is love and its connection with the fourth chakra in our body called the Anahata Chakra. Intertwined with his philosophy of love is the emphasis on a pure, organic and natural way of life. Bijay’s tryst with yoga started 25 years ago. Blessed with an inquisitive mind, he exposed himself to various forms of yoga including Iyengar Yoga, Ashthanga Vinyasa and Hatha. But what really changed his life was his first experience with Kundalini Yoga. The first 10 minutes of his exposure to this ancient science to awaken the Kundalini and cleanse the chakras moved him so deeply that he knew instantly that he had found what he had been searching for in his entire life.
Bijay is now one of the leading Kundalini Yoga teachers in the world, widely acclaimed and admired for his empathy and feelings driven approach to the science. He conducts Retreats and Wellness Programs based on Kundalini Yoga in India and across cities in Europe, the U.S. , Latin America, Russia, China and the Middle East. Bijay’s impactful wellness programs have touched the lives of thousands of participants across continents. Bijay has just completed a book titled “Enlightenment is not a big deal”. This book, due to be released shortly , lays down the ground rules for living a life of awareness and mindfulness. He looks forward to sharing his understanding of love, health, life and relationships with those that have a genuine passion and a committed desire to change their lives for the better.
